The Visual Basic.NET (VB.NET) programming language was first released by Microsoft in 2002 to replace the classic VB 6.  VB.NET is a fully object-oriented programming language implemented on the .NET Framework. Every version of VB.NET is bundled with other Microsoft programming languages such as C# in Microsoft’s Integrated Development Environment(IDE) known as Visual Studio.
